JETCO and AIFT Join-Forces to Support Real-Value Tokenisation Transactions
Hong Kong, 17 November 2025 –
As an international financial centre, quick and wide adoption of new financial instrument is one of the key success factors. With the strong policy support by the Hong Kong government on Web3 finance, Hong Kong is at the front rim as a Web3 finance hub. Tokenised deposit and real-world asset (RWA) are all prospering. Joint Electronic Teller Services Limited (“JETCO”) and Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (“AIFT”) collaborate on a shared tokenised deposit platform to enable the tokenised deposit service by commercial banks.
As a technology company which supporting various Fintech projects in banking industry, JETCO brings its technical expertise and banking experience. Together with AIFT’s strong research capability, this collaboration kicked off with a study on the quick enablement of tokenised deposit in banking and financial institutions by riding on advanced distributed ledger technology (DLT) in order to achieve 24×7 real time settlement. With 24×7 real time settlement, the turnaround time of payment transaction can largely be shortened. That is not just reducing the settlement risk but also provide better liquidity management to banking customers. Throughout the participation in The Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s EnsembleTX, certain results on tokenised deposit settlement have been testified with positive result. As project Ensemble progresses to EnsembleTX, the pilot phase, we are proud to be playing our part in bringing tokenised deposits to real-world use cases.
This collaboration will not stop at here. JETCO and AIFT will continue to work closely on other study, including the interoperability between banking and tokenised asset participants on tokenised deposit payment settlement for banking customers to fulfil their daily banking transaction needs etc.
As a participant in the HKMA’s Project Ensemble, JETCO will continue to collaborate within the EnsembleTX framework to transition tokenisation from proof-of-concept to real-world application.
